Bill Lucas was an up and coming star in physics and the US government recognized it. After years in training, Bill Lucas decided to take a close look at relativity and give a talk on the subject. Before he even left the stage, his fellow students said “your career is over”. Bill replied, “but I’m right, there are real problems with relativity”.
Their reply? “It doesn’t matter. You just don’t do that”. What that “that” was was to criticize Einstein. Something back then that was fatal in the world of physics.
I told Bill many times, if it wasn’t for that fateful day, you would have not come up with the work you have done.
Story is coming…
